One PDF file
Browse FilesFiles stay on your device. Around 100 MB is a practical guide — actual limits depend on your browser and memory.
Sometimes you do not need the whole document — you need three pages of it. Toolzio's Extract Pages tool pulls selected pages or ranges out of a PDF into a new document, free and without an account, entirely in your browser. Your original file is never uploaded, and it is never changed: extraction reads it and builds a new file from the pages you picked.
Extraction is the careful version of sharing a PDF. Instead of sending a fifty-page report and telling someone to look at pages 12–14, you send a three-page file that contains only those pages. The same applies to forms (where only the signed page matters), to evidence (where only specific exhibits matter), and to coursework (where one chapter is the assignment). Pick single pages, several pages, or a continuous range; the new document keeps them in the order you selected. Because extraction only copies pages, it does not re-encode them, so text and images keep their original quality.
Extraction cannot unlock an encrypted PDF, so unlock a protected file first, and very large files are limited by your device's memory because everything runs locally. After extracting, open the new file and confirm it holds exactly the pages you meant — a wrong range is easy to fix now and embarrassing to fix after sending.
Extraction pairs naturally with naming: the new file should say what it contains, because a file called 'extracted-pages' tells nobody anything a week later, while a name that mentions the source and the pages does. It also pairs well with splitting — split divides a whole document, while extraction takes only the pages you name — so choose extraction when most of the document should stay behind and only a few pages should travel. And because the original is never changed, extraction is a safe way to prepare a shareable version of a sensitive document: the recipient gets exactly the pages you chose, and nothing else from the file goes with them.
Very large files are limited by your device memory. Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first. This is a focused single-purpose tool, not a full desktop PDF suite.
Privacy: your file is read by your browser only. Toolzio does not upload, store, or log your document contents for this tool.
