A sideways PDF is a small problem with an annoying fix — unless the fix takes ten seconds. Toolzio's Rotate PDF tool rotates all or selected pages of a PDF by 90, 180, or 270 degrees, free and without an account, entirely in your browser. Your file is never uploaded to a server, so even a scanned contract or a private form can be straightened without handing it to anyone.
Sideways pages usually come from scanning: a page fed into a scanner the wrong way round, or a phone photo saved with the wrong orientation. Rotate fixes the page itself, not just how it looks on your screen, so the corrected file stays upright when you send it to someone else or print it. You can rotate the whole document at once, or pick out only the pages that are sideways and leave the rest untouched — useful when a single landscape table or a single scanned page is the wrong way round in an otherwise upright file.
Rotation only changes page orientation; it does not re-encode page contents, so text and images keep their original quality. It cannot unlock an encrypted PDF, so unlock a protected file first. After rotating, open the result and flick through it once: a page rotated 90 degrees the wrong way is easy to spot, and fixing it now beats discovering it after you have already sent the file.
Rotation is also worth doing before printing, not just before sending: a printer prints the page as stored, so a sideways page in the file becomes a sideways page on paper, however it looked in your viewer. Mixed-orientation documents are common — a portrait report with one landscape table, or a portrait form with one sideways scanned page — and rotating only the wrong pages keeps the rest of the document exactly as it was. If a whole document comes out sideways, rotate every page at once; if only a few pages are wrong, select just those, because rotating pages that were already upright is how a fixed document becomes broken again.
